The 2007-2008 school year is the year to start to develop excellence and remove excuses from our lives. Through dedication and determination from each of our students, the Armuchee Middle School band program will become one of the leading instrumental programs in Floyd County. We work as a team, and are critiqued as a group. As individuals, we must work towards a common goal; a successful and educational performance.

Middle School, the band program is listed as a "Connections" class. We actually enjoy this title because we believe music connects to all subjects. Music has a direct relationship to math, science, history, language arts, and social studies. During class, it is our duty to identify those connections to the "core" subjects and make our students aware of this; we truly believe that we can enhance performance in and understanding of their core classes. It is common knowledge that it takes a lot of money to have and operate a successful band program. This year we are taking our band to different locations to perform and be heard. The more opportunities we have to play in public, the more opportunities we have to earn money for our program, raise the quality of our program, and give our students a new and challenging environment.
